my only question with tucking is how tou you have access to the shocks to take them off after the tuck, if any?

Angle grinder + cutoff blade. Make two "access" rectangles in the underside of the DB that are a little wider than the shock mount, and about 2" deep. Assuming you marked where the shocks were attached to the bumper correctly you will be able to still thread the bolts in. At most I got two in.. with a stubby ratcheting wrench. Major PITA. The majority of the time though only one bolt was doing the job, but it was never an issue.

This way you can tuck the front in 100% on an early car.

Thanks i finally got it on...you need midget fingers to get to the bolts.
I think painting the bumpers makes it look alot better in some cases

You really don't have to. But it makes it a lot easier if you want to get in there and clean behind the shrouds and everything, or paint.

I'm of the opinion that anytime you've got major parts of the car taken apart, you should always clean up behind them.

nvm. I just drilled the last onbe out when it was on the car and pushed it in myself. Looks perfect.
