Shit. Well, that sucks. What about just getting the piece I am missing and getting it painted?

    edit:

So I need #7 in this drawing apparently but it isn't listed in the parts list on this page. WTF?

I've looked in the vehicle trim/grille area and bumpers and can't find it in either.

You can get that part used. Early US e30s have it. (pre-'86 I think)

Anyone have the width dimensions on the E30 plastic bumpers? I'm looking for options for an E28 project I have.

Width would need to be around 59"-60".
Distance to edge of rear wheel arch is around 27".
Distance to edge of front wheel arch is around 16".

Just thought I'd post in this older bumper thread and see if anyone can help me out. Thanks.

                Cracked e30 m3

                I have an 91 E30 M3.

My front bumber is completely cracked / broken all the way through from hitting a truck tire that was in my lane when I lived in California.

The bumper stays together so my question is when I bring it to a body shop can they fiberglass and repair that section?
                :???:

Is there a better way to mount the stock 87 is airdam? Like most, the mounting bracket for mine is broken/missing. Getting my car back from the shop in a few days and plan on tucking the bumper first. Thanks

Yes - my bumper was in rougher shape than yours and was put back together. It beats the $1500 cost of a new BMW front cover.

I ran into the same problem when I did mine. I ended up just cutting off my US valence's top bar thing and leaving it on the car when I put my euro valence on.
Hi,can I see a picture of this,if you have one. I'm planning to do this but having second thoughts.

88 did not have plastic bumpers so you need some from 89+.

Any plastic bumper you can find will fit it though.
