E36 to E30: What can be swapped?

thank you for that. one last question, although i THINK i'm certain it's a Negative, but would the regular E36 front suspension/hubs/brakes swap over for a 5 lug conversion?

I think it will bolt up but the geometry is wrong and the tire is pushed way back towards the door

The E36 year Z3 shifter assemblies are a nice short throw shifter for cheap if you can find them.
