what ignition box works with stock ecu?

I have contacted a couple dealers of ignition boxes and i cant seem to find one that will work with my car 89 325i. I have searched a few forums and searched google without any luck. I figured some of you guys probaly went through this before you got a MS. So I need to know what boxes have you had success with or will work on e30 and also which wiring schematic did you use to install? any info is greatly appreciated.

i would also research megajolt too, if you're going down this route.

megajolt is a standalone ems for spark only.
Just for the carburetor guys and I don't think it has cdi either.

You looking for something like an MSD? Which one do you have your eye on, the 6A?

well the story is i bought a mallory hyfire 6, and couldnt get it to work right. made the car run like crap. i called mallory and they said they didnt offer any support for bmws and didnt recommend using it so i took it off and bought a jacobs mastermind. now after reading the instructions for the jacob it can't be used without a aftermarket box. so i figured i would make a thread and see what people have used and it worked before i buy another box lol..

How did you have the Mallory hooked up?

Red and black heavy wires are obvious.

Orange and small black wires are replacing the green and black wires at the coil

Green that used to go to the coil goes to the small red wire

Black that used to go to the coil goes to the white wire

Should have worked fine hooked up like that.

Jacobs, MSD are two that come to mind.
