    Looking for some opinions.

I want to do a basic/entry level turbo setup on my e30 with m50tub25, Im planning on running a small snail small FMIC and maybe 5-7psi. the car isnt daily driven and is only used going to be used for cruises/ drift days. my main question is with tuning, do i need to go full standalone (megasquirt or similar) to support 5-7 psi? would the car run safely on a rising rate fuel pressure regulator and bigger injectors alone? or should i just go with an aftermarket chip burning company. im just very intimidated by megasquirt, not with building the board, just the tuning aspect afterword, seems to be a very grey area in the internet world.

There is SO much support for stock DME tuning that megasquirt would absolutely never cross my mind if I had a 24v motor. Go to the Forced Indiction section on Bimmerforums and have your mind blown.

really? I doubt many other tuning solutions have been discussed more than MS.

I'll say this.....it's not really grey, just vast hahaha. I'm playing with my first MS setup on my build. Thankfully I have some very good friends that have played in that realm for awhile. But I have been doing my part to learn and understand what exactly I need to know. MS isn't grey, on the contrary they give you RIDICULOUS amounts of information. I personally am having trouble taking it all in, the possibilities of MS systems are only limited to the hardware you want to buy, it's absolutely phenomenal what you can control with that system.
