    MS Vacuum tube routing

Almost done with an MS DIYPNP install in my 88 if, but I'm curious where everyone is routing the vacuum line for the map sensor? All the tutorials/posts I've looked at just say, "route a 3mm line to the ecu from the FPR vacuum line" with no pictures of where the tube can fit through the firewall.

    Any help would be appreciated

Ive heard you can punch a new hole in the firewall plug where it has 2-3 raised bumps. My plug was already cut so I ran the vacuum line with the wires and wrapped the plug around it. Its not a tight fit to the firewall right now but I tell myself Im not done tidying up yet.

This is how I routed mine

I didn't run the tube through the grommet because I didn't want it to get pinched.

There's a factory part with 2 vacuum nipples on it that I used to connect to the intake manifold. looks completely stock. I got it from an '89 325i, they came capped off.

Yes, same spot for me as well. I have my line right through the grommet with no shielding and my MAP signal is clean. No problems. I drilled and tapped the little 3-bolt cap on the intake manifold for a right angle fitting.
