luke i think im on to something here. I remember there was a vendor called topspeedauto that sold an ie replica exhaust but I forget if it was the xpipe version. However, I did know it was one of the more expensive ones. Looks like price has gone up too.

Anyone tried this OE catback with a free flow cat and long tube headers?

car in neutral revving it up to about 4k rpms

run down the block, I think what you mostly hear is engine noise

All the whining about sound clips then no one responds...typical R3V.

That car sounds great. That is the one with no X pipe, correct?

I think the stock cat performs as an X pipe, so it may be a moot point.

    BUMPING OLD THREADS FTW!

Not that I know of , I had it installed at a exhaust shop because I needed a mid section fabd up. They never said anything about any issues.

After about a week, it got a little nicer sounding. Still no drone.

I'm planning on doing something with the tips too, they are definitely too angled.

So I finally mounted the $119 today. The exhaust is a little tweaked but it ended up fitting ok. 100% stock sounding. I am guessing the racyparts is selling minor defected exhausts. All in all it was only $180 so worth it to me.

I got mine about 2 weeks back, install it about a week ago. It looks fine, tips are close togehter, but my tips are angled too much. its touching up against the valence outer edge. I might just get some tips and have the shop redo them. those tips arent that pretty anyways.
