    I hate my B&B exhaust!

I've had the B&B tri flo set up from bavauto since 02 and I cant take it any more. It's just too loud and resonating, i never liked that, but i thought I liked the performance. I've been told that it probably didnt make that much difference anyway. In which case I would like to go back to stock. Any ideas? Trades. Advice? Thanks.

If you want to sell your B&B triflow, you can make a for sale / trade thread in the proper section, if you're asking for advice on a new setup, IE SS sounds nice and is only slightly louder then stock.

yes i was really interested in advice, i just threw in the trade thing just b/c. So you think super sprint is good? does it have the "factory look"? How Pricey are they? Do you think pricier systems are worth it?

Super sprint...loud?!?! Hardley, it is one of the most mello systems i'ver ever heard. Super smooth, super understated, very nice.

What is the right exhaust note???

This sucks, since we are all different we all have different opinions!!!

When I bought my e30 the muffler was broken and the car sounded nice and loud, well bit too loud and had to replace it, I read and read and made my decision to buy ANSA Sport cat back. Now that it's installed I'm not happy with it I think its too quiet. So I'm still reading forums on what to buy. I will go to my local BMW CCA meet this Thursday with the hopes of listening to some exhaust notes to see what sounds good to me.

I love my ebay exhaust. No drone. A little throatier than stock. Stainless steel. direct bolt on. Oh and cheap. only 330 shipped. I suspect its the same one everyone else is selling for $500.

I <3 SS. It's quiet at cruise/idle, and loud enough for me after 3500rpm. it's also held up for like 15 years without issues.. I don't think that ebay exhaust will do that.

Ebay stuff is what you pay for. Their headers crack as well as the catbacks. I havent welded on BMW ebay exhausts, But ive TIGed my share of hondas and chevys with Ebay headers and exhausts.

I have a Borla stainless muffler on both of my e30's. Unbelievably awesome sounding - no drone, quiet at idle (a little rumble), and loud when you really get into it. $111 from summit for a 2.5" single in/out. Not sure why the hell anyone would pay over $200 for a muffler for a street driven e30.

This muffler matched with a magnaflow cat, long tube headers, and single 2.5" piping is pure sex at 5k.

SS isn't that loud. B&B is horribly loud I have one on another car of mine, was meant to be temp till I got a proper rear box but cash issues stopped that.

I get stopped once a month with it. I used to like Remus units but they tips all suck now, dollar for dollar the IE system isn't that bad.

I think Tri-Flo has made thier exhausts a bit quieter than they used to be. (at least for the E30) I had one for an '87 IS in 2001 and I remember it bieng much louder-real deep at lower revs and it SCREAMED at the top end. I loved it.
This last summer I got one for my '89 325i Autocross/Track car hoping for the same sound and it was toned down for sure. This is on a car with headers, and no cat so I was expecting even louder.
