I did that in my m20 (mls thicker gasket nd arps) and felt the diference, car will pull slower thru the rpm range.

im sure it will be the same exact thing for the s50 then. i just dont want to drop in the motor and have to pull it back out to replace the studs and gasket. seems like a lot of work. so now im debating if i should wait on the turbo n just run the s50 or just do the swap and the turbo later....

Changing the HG isn't that hard it'll only take you a morning to do. You don't need to take the motor out just to change head studs and replace with mls.

It's when you sit down and add up costs that turbocharging isn't cheap, all the small things add up. You think a wastegate ahh only $200 but add that with pipe work, turbo, tune and clutch and even the necessities that you need but don't realise such as gauges that the costs do add up. For my m20 it added up to $4000-$5000. That total cost will be cheaper in the US so don't get too scared but thats how it stood for me here in Australia. But when it's done it's gonna be the most awsome thing to own and any other car would be put to shame
