I've been purposely beating the crap out of this on the street and did a bunch of dyno pulls. Also I was a little concerned about trying to do a burnout in 3rd then going to 4-5 to finish without damaging the sprags in the trans. The first pass at the track was no 2 step, not revving out each gear, just going down the track to make a pass. The second pass was a 2 step, only 3-4 psi then roll out and intended to run out each gear. I made it to the top of second and broke both diff ears off. I think the chassis is tweaking or twisting a tiny bit under full load and putting too much tension on the cover. Either way, it felt super fast before it broke. Kinda excited about it.. Currently have a diff mounting plate being cut out of steel to fab a solid mount for the diff. It shouldn't be as brittle as the aluminum and bend if needed opposed to cracking the cast aluminum.

This is the second pass when the mounts broke, it over extended the driver side axle and blew the balls out. Thats why it started turning left. I lifted and corrected. Luckily with this trans, it coasts on decel and didn't try to drag the pass side and turn me back into the close wall.

there are also a few more street shifting videos on my youtube account from checking out the trans.

Finally got normal sized eagle rods and assembled the motor. A few more hurdles with start up and tuning for the cams. I didn't have time to tune it before bimmerfest, but we did make it and it was shiny. A few pics along the way. Hopefully I'll be able to make some passes soon and see what this new trans can do ! I made it over to Maximum Psi yesterday and got some tuning in off the wastegates. Made 920hp/625tq SAE on the superflow. Should be equivalent to about 1005 dynojet hp.

vid of the shifter and a couple dyno pulls.

If the box has the length written on them as he said they had, shouldn't he have maybe relayed that information? Interesting way of doing business......

So it looks like I'd also be interested in a Stock sized set of aluminum rods! These sweet looking aluminum rods turned out to be way more of a headache than they should have been. Turns out that they are 3.3mm longer than oem rods. The kid I bought them from was surprised too, I guess he didn't really know what he was selling. I'm pretty sure when the person that bought the pistons that go with these rods, they might be as upset as I was when I figured out the "customness".

Either way, I had already sold my eagle rods with intent to use these. So I have another new set of eagles and rod bearings coming to get this god damn engine together finally. Its just money right?

So first, the small end didn't fit in the piston. Then once they were machined down to clear, the small ends needed to be honed for the standard sized wrist pin. Not too much of a problem yet. Then the big end with the cap off wouldn't fit though the bore, maybe wouldn't have been an issue with a bigger bore, I'm at 85mm. The rod bearings are dowel pined on the cap side so I had to fixture and drill my rod bearings. Also found out the block needed to be ground down to clear the throw of the big end of the rods. With enough die griding, I was finally able to install the rod from the bottom and install the wrist pin on the deck. Then after rotating the engine to TDC, the piston was sticking out of the bore by about 3mm. If your still reading here's a couple pictures of the story...

heres the original fs thread too.

One more example of why you should never trust anything for sale.

If anyone needs some 138.3mm aluminum rods, I got you! They could definitely be used with custom made pistons. But I've been struggling to get this motor together and I'm relying on the only person I can count on now, not waiting for custom parts.

Finally, after 5 years, I finally have an nhra sticker on my cage! Also spent a couple hours and threw together a manifold with this pile of billet goodness. I figured I'd throw some pics up for those people that don't follow the instagram or the facebook.

And with this, I don't have a use for this one anymore, I ran in my car for the last 5 years. Proven to support an easy 1000hp. 1.5" scd 10 runners, flanges are for tial mvs gates. This will require frame rail/ fender modification OR clocking the motor to the driver side a few degrees. IT WILL NOT DIRECTLY BOLT IN A E30 M50 WITH STOCK MOUNTS $800 obo
