Exhaust manifold mating to turbo is too small for the turbo. My guess is t3 mani and turbo is t4. Its an hx30. Can I just get some kind of adaptor or something?
You should be more worried about the turbo-to-valve cover clearance, but yes, shop on eBay,there's plenty of t3-t4 adapters, but more importantly you will need to make an extension. Sorta like this...
The 524td manifold matches the t3 atleast distance of the holes does. Its a little smaller exhaust housing and the turbo is more like the t4. Not exact but im thinking it'll work with the adaptor. The top bolt holes are closer to 3.5 in than 3.25 in

Well....seeing the holes are .100-ish apart using your screwdriver method, those holes would appear to line up.
Turbine inlets are fairly standardized hence the above drawing.
Lol the screwdriver is just to hold the turbo up for a quick picture. So you could understand what I was saying. I am reassured now. Already bought the adapter and bought kinugawa actuator with .5bar spring so I'm not running 30 psi. Or whatever stock was on the turbo lol. Thanks guys
Be careful with that internal gate. It will have severe boost creep, not sure on the minimum with an hx35, but a 38mm gate will bleed off enough exhaust to go 7-9psi safely from personal experience. The internal gate on those is 20 or so mm (off the top of my head).
EDIT: Remember in stock config for the hx35, the truck was seeing 40 or so psi in the diesel
Im putting a kinugawa actuator on the turbo with .5 bars to start with and porting the turbo same way as described in this link. Hopefully I'll be all set with the turbo once that is done. Also there are 5 holes for coolant and oil. Why is there 5. I know the 2 oil holes and two coolant ones next to eachother. Then there are two more holes for coolant i believe. 1 is already blocked off. Can anyone explain. Thank you. Heres the link for turbo porting http://www.bellengineering.net/artic...7fvsdib385bpu3
