    E85

Im trying to decide whether I want to run e85 or run 91 + meth. I would like to hear people's opinions on how they like their fuel setups and why they chose what they did.

If you can easily get E85 in your area and your car isn't your daily there is really no reason NOT to run E85.

The only reason it isn't used more imo is because of availability and cost/mile. E85 has a lower energy density so you need more fuel and larger injectors, but it has a much higher octane than standard gasoline so you can throw more timing at it without problem.

TL;DR: if you can easily find it E85 will give you more power, but you will be at the pump more frequently

E85 if you can get it. My buddy's 1000hp Evo thrives off the stuff just make sure you never leave home with out an extra couple gallons in a spare tank I'm not kidding either

E85 is at nearly every gas station in my area and this is just my weekend/fun car. The only reason I'm skeptical is because I already have 60# injectors and to my understanding, with e85, 30% more fuel is required so I think I would need bigger injectors for my 400whp goals. Ah screw it, I'll do the math and if I need bigger injectors, I'll get them. Plus, the major tuner in my area loves e85 so if I need help tuning, I'll have it. Thanks guys!

Calculator for the best injectors ever made

I'm going to bet, not knowing your setup you'll need id850s minimum. I'm setting up to run e85 as well. my setup will require id1000s to run enough fuel on my setup. Another thing to note, you need to look at the rest of your fuel system. e85 compatible fuel pumps, lines etc. WaLbro makes a 485 model that e85 compatible. Good option of you're still running a stock tank, you can buy a full installation kit and pump of amazon for about $180.

E85 is a different animal, you need to analyze the switch as a whole and not just injectors.

I run e85, 100lbs ID's, stock lines and stock tank, stock fuel rail and stock fpr. No problems what so ever. Cold weather no problem either

there is a lot of info being left on the table to properly determine what size injectors he should be using.

I'm actually in the same situation, either buying bigger injectors and pump of just using water/meth. Around my area there only one gas station that had e85 but I usually don't dd the car. What's the down fall of water/meth?
