This is from dynotuning megasquirt. I finally got megasquirt controlling timing. Not exactly how I wanted it to, but it will work for now. Basically it takes the VR signal directly, decodes it, runs it through the map, sends the signal to MSD, and MSD fires the coil. Still running a distributor for now, until I can figure out why I burned up some coil ignitors. I got Megasquirt to output the tach signal to the gauge cluster with 1 wire as well. Anyway, its running awesome.
This dyno run was at 16psi on a Dyno Dynamics Dyno. These dynos are known to be quite conservative (15-20% lower numbers than dynojet), so take that into consideration. If you average about 17% because of the dyno, it would be 370whp and 425wtq on a dynojet, but take that with a grain of salt...
307.1whp and 353.5wtq
Oh, and for those of you who don't browse e30tech regularly, here is a video of my 4th gear wheelspin on the freeway. I was about 2 carlengths behind the car filming, I rolled onto the gas, and I got boost and wheelspin, shifted right as we were even and got traction in 5th. You can hear the squealing just as I'm coming up.
Questions, comments?
I'm stoked! haha
