tcd sells a chip and you cna also find ebay knock off ones. they say there for up to 15psi.... all they do is retard timing after 3000rpm... there are plenty of guys over on e30tech runnin the chip adn rrfpr, with bigger injectors... one guy i talked a bit isnt even running the chip jsut 30lbs injectors and the fmu. he runs 10 psi, and makes over 300 whp. with the chip for 15 psi you can safely run more boost and make more power.

he has a stock eta bottom end with i top, i dont recall what size exhaust he has. his turbo is a garret .60 trim

Some have had some real luck running a MAF with a Split Second piggy back. But for all I know it could just be luck. The MS is the better option in my view.

do you have to run MS or is there a way to get a turbo m20 to run well without MS.

There is no better ecu than the factory control unit - 173 for that car unless you spend big bucks. Tuning the chip in your ECU is not very difficult or you can go to a guy like Dan Miller who has mastered that ecu on forced induction builds. www.millerperfromancecars.com
