Maybe the AFM or fuel related issue. -
Is it throwing any codes? What does the stomp test tell you?Comment

I'd question the ecu temp sensor if its engine temp related.
I'm surprised they give trouble as they should be fairly bullet proof but many people seem to have issues with them. at the very least remove the plug, make sure the contacts are good, clean them if you can to try and isolate the issue. you can test it too, ohm vs temp numbers can be found in bently manual. or probably via google.Comment

stuttering is mostly related to spark issues, especially under load.
Check your CPS, along with all other spark related items.
Low fuel or fuel issues, you'd be backfiring when it leans out.

I had a ICV that was grounding out my harness. It would make the car buck and stutter. Also how old are some the sensors and parts? Might be time to do an overhaul for some things.
It wasn't throwing codes?Comment

Def suspect the AFM, it also has a temp sensor inside it.Owner - Bavarian Restoration
