    M20B25 Cylinder Wall Scratches

Took apart my M20 and noticed these scratches. I'm assuming the gouges will cause blow by. Two of the cylinders have them bad enough where i can catch my nail on it. All scratches are on the exhaust side. I have a few guesses to why this happened. First, I found a tiny metal screw head in the oil pan. Secondly, a few of the skirts have some markings on the exhaust side so I'm guessing it may of been over heated. Tried a honing and it helped a little. I'm taking the block to the machine shop in the next day or two but want to get some input first. I'll also snap some more pics tomorrow and share. Thank you for any input.

Yeah gouges look deepish so o/s slugs highly likely. Given not that cheap unless you get aftermarket cast May as well get a forged set that work with a larger stroke crank while you are there

        Sure they're not cracks?
I don't see anything in the deck to make me think they are, but.
Those are odd tracks to just be one line like that.
