    Probably right around the time that labor got expensive elsewhere and when they realized that consumers wouldn't pay $20 USD for that filter.

        I judge filters on their quality over origin. Cut one open and look for yourself.

          If there's nothing in there perhaps it's a sign of a healthy engine rather than a poor filter.

            i normally by genuine filters they are pretty cheap in the grand scheme. the one time i didnt it leaked from the rubber seal which is a good effort

                    I think the filters I buy are from Bosch? Haven't looked at my stock downstairs in awhile. Never had one leak though! The same cannot be said for any other part of the engine....

                      I found out just the other day that it's pronounced MAH-luh, not mah-LAY, due to it being German. I wonder how you pronounce it in Chinese
