    i wonder when they went to the small bumper only. i have an 9/88 build date coupe that has small bumpers and no air bag. my favorite spec for the north american coupe.

      Hi 82eye,

      Plastic bumper convertibles were produced from 10/90 to 4/93 as 1991, 1992 and 1993 convertibles. Convertibles produced before 10/90 were still 91s but came with diving boards hence the confusing mix of metal and plastic bumper 91s. All 90+ E30s came with airbag steering wheels.
