when you only buy the maf.. it comes with a chip. Save 300 bucks if you aren't adding anything else to your DD. If you have to spend another 200 on chip, of course you would get the war chip.

This discussion is so silly. I was just wondering if the stock miller maf chip works with the 17.5 injectors, or will it not run right.

I have also done the miller maf conversion, and it made a night and day difference in the way the car starts, idles and pulls through the entire range, I am sure some of it is the chip but in my opinion its well worth the $$ spent for what you get. Did it make more power...I dunno it feels like it makes more power and if not its definitely smoother and much more drivable.

Where is the link to this combo everyone is talking about. I checked the miller site, but it just brings me back to a list of Miller dealers.
          Anyone have the link?

I honestly cant give a # but it does much better. I am always pushing mine and it gets 17+ on the streets shifting at 5-6K all the time. I love it, I can put a tank of gas and beat the crap out of it to work and back for 3 weeks...hahahaha

and to sum it up.. based on everyone's experience, there is absolutley no compromise? I just want to old engine to run smoother. A performance increase ia bump.

Slightly lower than stock numbers. What was before this was installed? Is there a before and after or just after?

for me I would say 100% positive. car runs smoother and is more responsive. I have no before or after numbers only perception/but dyno :)

My quote was meant for Todd Black 88 as the Miller seemed to drop development on the MAF for the S14 for sometime due to AFR numbers.

then this truly is the holy grail of bolt on mods for the m20 LOL thanks for ur input man

Also, where does your idle sit now on the rpm range? Supposedly this makes the car idle smoother

I've has mine installed for about 2 months now. It is def. smoother, both in terms of idle and acceleration. Product quality is top notch. My only complaint is that the chip included with the MAF does lower the cars idle a bit (to around 600rpm), which is only a problem now in the winter months, as it takes longer to warm the car up. I also suspect that I may have a bad temp sensor adding to the mix...so who can be sure.
I am very pleased with the MAF conversion, makes my 250k M20 run smooth like new!
