    2.7i help please

    Hi i have a 325e that i am currently making into a 327i
    so far i have changed:
AFM, TPS, MANIFOLD, WIRING HARNESS, CPU, PULLEYS, SENSORS, ETC.
(I kept my e injectors in with the fpr)
    I have an issue tho,
my car fires up just fine and idles okay but if i touch the throtle a little bit it wants to die on me but if i press it a little more it will rev up but wont stay constant it bouces. I have checked the sensors, oxygen sensor AFM TPS they are all okay. It runs very rich and back fires some

please if anyone can help please post thank you

You need to use the I injectors and FPR. That should solve most of your issue.

why would that matter tho? because thge e injectors are smaller
wouldnt the i larger injectors just make it more rich?

They're of different impendance. Also, the FPR is 2.5 bar on the ETA and 3.0 bar on the I engine.

but more pressure would give it more fuel wouldn't it?
its runnning rich i need less right?

The amount of fuel delivered to the combustion chamber is controled by the DME. Which uses readings from the: TPS, O2 sensor, AFM to determine and tailor the amount that gets sent. The FPR regulates the fuel pressure in the fuel rail, not the amount of fuel delivered to the cylinders.

The injectors are like middle men, they do what the computer tells them. In your case they are misinterpreting the signal and delivering the wrong amount of fuel.

Stop running the car... You'll burn up the injector driver due to the impedence difference.

you will fry that ECU if you don't change the injectors. It may already be too late. the reason is because e injectors are low resistance and i injectors are high resistance. the drivers in the i ECU are only designed to run high resistance injectors.

Dude! just do as they say, Trust Me...i made tha same mistake while i was building mine. If you're going to use e injectors, u'll need to change the harness, ECU, and AFM back..I dont think tha FPR matters, cause i've run both FPRs b4

the FPR absolutely does matter, because the e uses a lower fuel pressure (2.5 bar vs 3 bar). But using the wrong FPR isn't as big of a deal as using the wrong injectors

eta injectors flow more than i injectors! So thats why a higher FPR is needed. It works well I have done it as well.
