                wanna make pwer cheap?
                1) stop thinking we are out to get you.
                2) we have a general idea of the things work, and if youve had the e30 long enough, youd know that power isnt cheap unless you have time and lots of it.
                3) i back nando up because it will not work, and whoever showed you it is a retard or you got ur shit mixed up.
                3) SEARCH
                4) its the 2.7i hybrid motor that people use for under 1 grand. rebuild the b25 885 head, shrick 272 cam, beefy rockers and the seta b27 rods and pistons.
                5) im an asshole when it comes to stupid questions like this.

                understand that bmw NA power=$$$
dont like? then buy a honda. there is one for sale on here....

Yes. I was. I'll post a build thread sometime in the near future. I'm doing a Super ETA stroker Turbo as a winter project. Total budget build.

                  This.

It's almost cheaper to throw a little boost at it versus building up a n/a motor. I did months of research and pricing and it's the decision I came to. It also lays a foundation for much greater things down the road.

                  300whp? Reliable? Hell no.

200-220whp is probably no less reliable than stock if it's done right. 250whp is about where you draw the line, especially if you're going to daily it, and drive it like it's got 250whp.

Fuel management is where it's at with these. Detonation will kill an M20 in a heartbeat.

Ok the 2.7 head isn't a good idea, but like you said I called my friend that works at BMW and he told me a web page that they have a lot of things to give power to the m20b25 and also the b27 and most of the things are not even over $50 so with my budget that I have saved I might be able to do most of them, and get dissent power for the prize.

You won't make good power on a $50 budget.

Cam, MAF conversion, CAI, exhaust, and a chip are probably your best bet with a small budget, but don't expect to be blowing people away. Just watch the classifieds and parts will come up. The things I listed can all be done on their own and is not dependent on anything else with the exception of the exhaust/intake. They should be done together, but still won't make a real noticeable difference in performance.

BTW it does makes a difference if it is made good, my intake and exhaust give me descent power, also the wireing kit helped a lil but is enough to notice it

Wiring kit? I know of no such wiring kit that will squeeze more power out of a stock M20.

no one has them but like I said my friend that works at the bmw dealer gave me some points to put additional grounding cables to help the discharge of electricity, if you know, the m20 has only 1 ground cable to the motor and that's basically it, the rest are all to the body of the car, to help it you can add one to the diff and one to the tranny and also there are some more points to where it can be added
