What did you do about the hose that Whent to the resivior under neither the intake? Did u replace with straight hoseComment

I simply cut the "T" hose that connects to the original M20 late model reservoir down a few inches so that it has a straight shot towards the reservoir outlet on the M42 radiator. Then I used a 1" (memory may be failing me on that size) ID straight piece of hose (~6-9" length) off the M42 reservoir outlet which connects to the cut "T" hose. You need a 1" to 3/4" reducer (or whatever the sizes are) to connect the two hoses. This is because the OE hoses flare up to a larger diameter at the connection point and generic heater hose is a constant diameter all the way through.Last edited by Sagaris; 03-28-2012, 07:02 AM.Comment

so in order to do this into an early model all you need is to get the late model water pump, the metal pipe that goes acros the front of the motor? anything else?? also is the lower radiator hose just the stock m20 late model one?Simon

Can the stock m20 fan be used or do you need to use an electric fan? Is it a space issue?
Edit: nevermind, just saw that you can retain the stock clutch fan.Last edited by eight~deuce; 03-01-2013, 10:38 PM.Comment

I just bought an m42 radiator for my 325i and I was wondering, how do I keep my transmission cooler that is attached to my radiator? The tubes are screwed into it and the m42 radiatior has one on the front of it with a clap box that the tube go to but I'm not sure exactly what to do with them. Do I cut them and clamp them in or do I just use the as is?Comment
