Near as I can tell, this is basically just a head built especially for, or ideal for anyway, the normal eta block. Something equivocal to slaipping on an 885 head, but you maintain good compression. Hartge used that head either in the H23, which was a Euro 323I bottom end with special forged piston to raise the compression to 10:1. They got 170 Bhp out of it. They also used that head in the H26 in 84 which was a 325E block and the 323I crank and rods plus custom pistons to make 190 Bhp out of around 2.5 liters. A nice lively engine. In 85 the H26 went to a straight 325I motor with the 885 head. My car still has the original 83 casting 731 head stamped by Hartge.
