done with the install, ive driven it around a few times and taken it up to redline and damn its got a nasty growl to it.

        only problems
got a 1222 fault code- ive been told it is most likely a vacuum leak
and crappy or no idle- lines up with vac leak

any help on how to find the leak would be nice

Does your rubber intake boot have a slit in it?
That can make the idle horrible.

Maybe it was damaged when you were putting things back together.

Or...spray parts cleaner on it. If you hear a change in the idle, you found your leak. Do this around the intake mani gaskets, tb gasket, etc. Great way to find out where a leak is coming from with little work.

meh, it takes like 5 minutes to remove, and I'd rather not get my engine bay all oily. ;)

A spray bottle of water works good also.
