I can fucking guarantee you that 17lb injectors are not big enough for a 2.8L with head work. More air flow + more compression + 2.8L = needs more fuel.

Just because it "runs fine" on 17lb injectors doesn't mean it isn't lean as fuck. I do love M50 injectors for stock and mild M20 engines though!

they are if you run them at 3.5-4.0 bar instead of 3 bar. :)

Ok, so I can run 19lb injectors with a regular fpr in my stroker and it will be ok?

There IS reason to get upset. I can promise you I have had the MOST real life experience with these cars and their engines out of anyone on this forum. I have worked on, pulled, installed, and driven E30's with pretty much every M20 combo under the sun.

I like my R3V information like I like my hookers, truthful.

going by injector DC, 21# would be perfect for my motor, but I'm figuring most people don't put much work into them and are just slapping parts together and hoping it starts.

LOL, so you like truthful hookers... "Oh Matty you are the best I ever had." Just learning about the stroker build, this is good information.

                  Cheers,

ok. What say you to 19lb injectors at 3.5bar?

there are many calculators for figuring out injector flow after changing the base pressure. you just need to know what base pressure they were set to originally.

wanna shoot me in the direction of one of these calculators? Im just interested to hear your thoughts on 19lb injectors with a higher pressure. Better fuel mileage and better power? worse fuel mileage and better power? worse mileage and worse power?

it won't change power. it will just decrease the pulse width (needs to be tuned for it of course). The higher pressure atomizes better. It also affects response time. of course there's a limit to how much pressure you can put through them..

Im wondering if a 3.5bar fpr would be better for my 19lbers or if it would just be a waste of money.

it might be a small increase in efficiency, but unless you already have the ability to tune it yourself it's going to be a lot of work for 7.4psi of fuel pressure..

                                that makes sense.
