I want more torque for my ETA

Im enjoying my 86 ES a lot and want to do something different from the typical "swap everything from an I" build. I don't want more horsepower, I want more torque. I want it to stay NA, so no supercharging for me. So far, I just have a chip and am sourcing some long tube headers and exhaust, but beyond that I'm not sure where to go for more torque. Is there anything else out there that BMW hasn't already done? I will change the final drive, but only bumping it slightly, dont expect me to run a 3.73

    thoughts?

A 3.73 will help it out a lot. It's really not all that bad cruising at 75+

you can't get more torque without getting more hp at the same rpm. At what rpm do you want more torque and hp?

a bigger crank will do the job as it gives you more CC and higher CR if you get a piston that geometrically works properly.

get a adjustable cam gear and play around to see what works. A proper tune usually helps out aswell.

change the final drive to a 3.15 or 3.23, my eta is currently running a 3.15 and its nice for 2nd gear starts on downhills lol

increase the compression & increase the displacement, install 885 head with ETA cam if you like, that should flow better
