Also, if you really want to do some homework head on over to e30tech. LOTS of turbo knowledge over there.

Well from what I've heard with someone using the w.a.r chip with the 30lb injectors and m20 turbo base map you are limited to 10psi. And you will have to change a lot of the fuel and timing tables to get it right. Which involves a lot of turning on and off the car to make adjustments because the w.a.r chip doesn't have live tuning. Also when you do adjust the fuel and timing tables it is delayed by 500rpm for some reason. So if your mucking around 3500rpm table it won't come into affect untill 4000rpm. It's not end of the world when you run a w.a.r chip instead of MS.
But now you can get a more capable computer for the same price and is 90% plug and play. Which is a no-brainer for me. All that is needed to do along with pluging in whodwho's box is wire in an iat sensor which can be taken out of your AFM plug. A vacum line which is for the map sensor and a better tps which you can get from an e36 and buy a bracket from someone for cheap to make it fit. Maybe whodwho has them if you ask.

jaywood, the humjet and everyone else thanks for your suggestions.
especially jaywood and the humjet! btw jaywood, ive read your build a whiile ago. im still jealous u have a boosted m20 already.

But i am going to contact whodwho this weekend. im interested in what he offers and at what price. from what i remember MS is muuuch cheaper than Miller maf and Chip. but id have to check that.

to answer jaywood as to why I dont just boost now. I think I have a good reason

Its cause, #1 I dont want to break anything.
#2.because I always thought itd be safest to build a reliable m20 first. like valves, valve springs, and maybe rocker arms immediately. That was going to be it. But now i may have sourced a eta block!.
so before boost that'll be a NA 2.7L 325is with 43mm intake valves and new exhaust valves, IE double valve springs, and rocker arms RUNNING ON WHATEVER TUNING SYSTEM I DECIDE TO GO WITH. i dont care what u say, that will be a fun car for me to slide around and learn with until ive collected all turbo parts.
some ppl say keep the rockers till they break but i dont like the idea of old rockers and new springs/valves.lol plus i dont know what will happen when they snap with new springs and valves.

i teaching myself to drift so I dont need to be in a parking lot at 3am doin my thing and something break. thats the main reason I want to change the rocker arms while im doing the valves and springs. what do u guys think?
m20 is plenty. im simply a drifter.

Yeah that's the problem with e30tech they don't let you post or reply to threads for a while. When I joined I just signed up to paid membership so you get in straight away.
