    m20b25 engine build idea helpppp

    so i am planning on running a M52B25 crank in a m20 b25 with M52B25 eagle rods and m20b25 wiesco 9:1 pistons with a m20b20 cam all so i can boost it later down road does this set up sound like something someone has done or possible ? reason for m20b20 cam is i heard it is same as a 262 any tips or links to similar builds would be awsome

      get a 304 if you're going to be building the engine anyway.

        yea i might use the stock cam and all m50 rods and stock pistons and a headspacer and run some boost through it with a war chip im olny shooting for 260whp

          You want to build a stroker and boost it but you're going to use a stock cam?

            an M52B25 crank doesn't make a stroker, either. it's still a 75mm stroke. why would you use a head spacer? the stock CR of an M20B25 is already perfect for boost, which is basically what you'd have after all that.

              not making a stroker lol just wanna make it stronger b4 boost and wats the cr of a m20b25 after all this im new to bmw engines

                a head spacer would probably just make things worse. you'd lose the quench area of the stock combustion chamber.

                I don't think there's any point in using an M52B25 crank. the M20 crank is plenty strong enough. the only advantage to the newer rods is they weigh less.

                if you're going to bother with custom pistons, you may as well increase the stroke with an M52B28 crank, or even better, an S52B23/M54B30 crank. The cost difference is going to be maybe $100.
