Even Noobs need rational explanation...how can it run hotter?

Why is everyone so focused on "damage" and "problems"? It's not about that, it's about what produces the best power and best fuel economy.

plugs are designed by heat range. some plugs run hotter than others. you don't neccesarily want to run the hottest plug, either.

that's the point - you aren't going to see any difference, at best, in fuel economy or peformance by changing to +4 platinum bullshit. At worse, it may make your engine run like poo.

Ok, finally some sense to the question. Thank you!

But no one has even brought up any of this! All I have stated is that they WORK FINE in the engines, only people having the ISSUES HAVE OTHER UNDERLYING ISSUES.

              More expensive? Yes.

              Last longer? Yes.

Dyno proof that they dont harm horse power on a m42? Yes.

Waste of money for those reasons? No, time is money, i'd rather throw a plug in my engine and call it good for several years vs having to tinker with my gap because the copper wears away at a much faster rate.

Like I said, I would like to see factual information not opinions. I have posted facts.

I know I know..Rediculous huh? Yes some of the marketing is crap for these plugs I will agree, but to say the plugs themselves are crap isn't right. They work fine. Thats ALL im saying. Lol
