I'm sure this has been done before but i think it would be a cool little project and it would give me something to do with my spare motor.

I picked up a spare ix motor a year ago and it had a bent valve that i have replaced. I'd like to fire it up but I'm not planning on put it in the car for at least another year or more. My motor still runs strong it just has a little bit of piston knock when cold :-(

So i was think of building a stand and getting all the accessories and extras that it would need to let it fire. I have a lot of parts already because i kept everything i replaced om my car and i have many things haha.

So far i have
complete long block
afm
injectors
full engine wiring harness
dme
cap, rotor, coil, and wires


So i've been thing on what i still need witch i know i will these
intake manifold
fuel rail with regulator
any fuel pump that will make adequate rate/psi
throttle body
intake boot
crank and cam gear
timing belt and tensioner
Starter
fly wheel

( not decided if i want to set up a cooling system. I would then need the w/p and altanotor to make the belt work unless i can find a shorter one that would only go around the crank and w/p)

That's everything i can think of but I'm sure I'm missing a few thing

If you can think of anything else i need please let me know.

I thought about it for 5 minutes once, then just went out and bought another car
to put the engine in question into. It was cheaper, faster andeasier and then I had a way of load
testing the thing when I was done...

I'm actually serious...
