I just tested the injectors and one has a very weak, almost non existent spray. All came back at 15 ohms though. Currently looking for injectors locally

If new injectors or cleaned injectors don't solve the problem, check the C191 connector under the throttle body for damage or corrosion.

Best bang for your buck injectors, flow tested and matched.

19lb injectors are too big for a stock m20

Regardless the dme is going to be cutting the pulse width down for these or the 19lb ones but with the 19lb injectors you could still run a tad rich if the dme can't compensate enough

Thanks for the link! i've been looking for some reasonably priced replacements. Here is a picture of what i currently have in the car. I've been reading a lot about people using the wrong injectors so i just want to make sure they're correct. The numbers on the side of the injector read

            852
            (086) 0 280 150 715

Just read the listing thoroughly and noticed it references my number as being compatible. I'm getting some locals used injectors today to test first, if they're faulty i'll be getting these replacements!

The PO of the car had spliced and wired in a new connection for these, i've been thinking about re doing the work but i'm a little hesitant.

That wiring needs to be replaced; your injectors are probably old and dirty, but fine. I think you have an intermittent connection.

If you can't solder or crimp, then you'll have to replace the harness. Throwing other fuel delivery parts at the car isn't going to help if the injector signal isn't reaching the injectors.

Go to the junkyard, grab an i harness, some m50 injectors, and an i starter and never deal with crap wiring again.

Hey guys, tried a different set of injectors and the car appears to be running good now. The only problem is it wont start unless i prime the fuel pump a couple of times and keep the revs up. Any fresh ideas based on this? If not a new harness will be my next step.

                        prime the pump? hmm?

what did the connectors look like on the old injectors? if they were corroded to nothing...

insofar as random injectors are concerned, of the last 8 picked up, 2 had leaking bodies, and 2 couldn't be restored to proper functionality. just because they exist doesn't make them good. they may leak down and/or not seal properly.

FYI, since I put in known good injectors into my e30, I have yet to have it fail to start on the first try - even with the MAF unplugged.

The ones i installed today were in a perfect running car before. I also tested them before and all had an even strong spray patter.

The car ran great above 1500 rpm, let it idle until warm and took it for a drive around the block, everything seemed fine until i decided to give it some gas in 1st. Brought it up to about 5k and the motor just cut out. Now it wont start again....

Just tried to start it and got a wicked "pop" out of the exhaust. The car started up and r3vved all the way up, i shut it off quick and now it wont turn start again..
