    m20 stroker with e28 528e crank

    Can i use a 1988 528e crank in an m20 stroker? is there any difference? doing mains and rod bearings too so i need to know if i need oversized bearings? will my 1986 e30 e rods work with this crank?

            Considering they never made a 528e, I'd say nobody has used that crank before....

            That being said, the 525e used an M20B27 engine, which is just a normal 2.7L so yes you can use it.

            The 528i, made from 81-87, used an M30 engine which has a completely different crank.

              seriously type in bmw 528e into google and see what happens.......
              89 E30 325is Lachs Silber - currently M20B31, M20B33 in the works, stroked to the hilt...

                  really no 528e? wow what have i been finding at the jy then cuz all the e28s i find are either 535i or 528e lol

                    This is one of those facepalm threads...

                    88 528e is a super ETA engine but the crank is the same as your ETA. Of course they made a 528e 82-88. Someone doesn't know his E28's.

                          My bad, I know next to nothing about the e28....

                          I did a quick search to see what engine was in it and only looked at the euro models (by mistake). The 528e was only a north american model.

                          That's what I get for trying to be helpful :(
