Alright guys reviving this thread cause i have some developments.
the car used to be an i, that's a given. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE.
the block has these numbers on it 821 87. im not sure what it means!
I have the toothed crank with the CPS on it and my AFM is from an i.
So how can i know if there isnt just a different intake on it?? also what is the give-away for a throttle body to be from an i/super eta? i also dont want to open the valve cover!

Look at the intake boot between the throttle body and AFM. If the throttle body end is smaller diameter than the AFM side, then it's a Super ETA throttle body (smaller version of the i throttle body). The regular ETA boot is completely different, BTW. Does your car have it's oil cooler installed?"I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj
