dipstick o ring replacement?

does anyone know of one? there's 2 upper o rings and no lower o ring as far as i know. regardless, i want to replace the two upper o rings to give it a better seal and reduce any possible oil burning. does anyone know of replacements for these? the e46 dip stick looks like the same design and might take the same o rings. i say this because the e46 diagrams provide an o ring part number where the e30 diagrams do not.
the e46 o ring is 9x2.2

Bumping this thread to see if anyone has found a source for the proper oil dipstick o-rings.

I'd rather take someone's experience here who has found the proper size / material O-rings than deal with Amos and Andy behind the counter of my local Advance O'Reilly Pep Boys Zone store.

I found one in the Harbor Freight '1001 o- ring assortment' box that the previous occupant
of our shop left behind.

This is not the most critical sealing connection on the car...

I replaced mine with 3/8x1/16 o-rings -- the fit is close enough to make a good seal. A little snug but works fine.

True. But it is the absolute last place I have any intake air seepage at all. My dipstick is so loose its kind of like

That part # is incorrect. Those are the CCV tube o-rings.

Hardware store is your friend on these.

I use the green HBNR ring kit from HF. The alternative is a new dipstick as the rings are not sold separately

If you are really in a pinch and cannot find an o-ring then use some Teflon tape to wrap the dipstick.

Before you put Teflon tape anywhere near the internals of your engine think about the times you've ever removed any and where the little bits can wind up

Yes, but one would put it where the o-ring is on the dipstick...perfectly safe. It's a temporary solution to fix a vacuum leak until OP can find the correct O-ring.
