Just did timing belt, low idle now

Like the title says, I just replaced my timing belt this weekend and did a general tune up (cap, rotor, wires, air filter, vc gasket). I also disconnected the battery and connected the +/- to reset the ecu.

Recently did water pump and oil change. The car runs great now. The problem is when I come to a stop and put in the clutch my idle drops to about 500 rpm for 5-10 seconds until the engine catches up and it jumps up to 700 or so.

The engine does have a cam but it has never done this. Do I have a vacuum leak? What would cause this to happen? Does the ecu just need to adjust after some more miles?

    Thanks guys

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

Yes, intake leaks are very possible. Even if you do everything 100% right the first time around, the odds of breaking a seal/jarring something loose on a 20+ year old car are very high. Double check all your work, then do a smoke test (DIY or professional) to rule out leaks.

The ECU should be able to retrim the injectors in a very short amount of time/distance (couple of miles).
