"i" cam vs eta cam in 885 head for boost

is the eta cam better for boost then the "i" cam?? when i put my engine back together last time i decided to change the cam in my super eta head to an "i" cam i had laying around , i seemed to not build boost aswell , maybe i was just trippin but it could have been a boost leak somewere aswell.... im not sure i havent had the time to check my charge pipes for leaks at all...
this is on an 87 "i" block with a holset he351 cw

Now this is just not true! I'd snap it in half and use it for scrap metal!

I ran one for my supercharged setup so I could spin the SC at a higher RPM and not overspin it at redline. It is a centrifugal SC so it is good to have the powerband in the lower range and the boost helps with the cams inefficiency in the upper range and it still peaks over 6k.

With no boost it's just a dog, it idles as low and smooth as a Cadillac and I can bog it in any gear and pulls nicely from 1k all they way to about 5-5.5 and fall hard on its face 8^(

            I won't be using it for a turbo setup, I have a 288 for that 8^)

is the super eta cam the same as regular eta cam ? i was thinking the "i" cam would be the way to go too , i better go out and check my charge pipe coupling....
hopefully i can get them welded together before i get the car back together instead of using all of those couplers

this is why i bitch. it literally took me seconds to fine the answers you ask http://lmgtfy.com/?q=super+eta+cam+spec <- first link
Notes: Single valve springs, and 1 mm smaller valves prevent this motor from reving past 4500 rpm stock. This motor was intended for fuel economy. It is also known as the "eta". The "super eta" motor, has the same size valves and the same singal valve springs, but it has the same mild camshaft as the non super eta motor. Cast crank, still quite durable for higher than the designed rev limit. same head casting as the m20b25 but with only 4 oil jornals drilled instead of the 7.
srsly before asking the questions that have been answered over and over. look at your budget and go from there. the basic "I" cam is cam 256 deg, which is still very mild. dont use the eta rods. use the "I" rods or M50 rods and have custom pistons made to the spec you need. slapping shit together willynilly wont get you anything but a throw away POS e30. and for the love of god, google and do some damn research.

there is nothing wrong with using an eta rod rod with other factory parts to save $$$.
