    M20 hesitation

My car has recently started doing this thing where while im on the highway around 2800-3k it feels as if im pushing the breaks slightly. It happens randomly every 5 mins maybe?

Im thinking it could be my afm possibly, but im not sure. Any ideas would help

The first thing I'd check would be the fuel system. Tee a gauge into the rail supply line and zip tie the gauge to a wiper. Then see what the pressure does when an event occurs.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Good idea I think ill give that a shot this weekend. Where would sell a girl pressure gauge that would work ?

Hmm, I haven't seen a girl pressure gauge in years- since I was in college, I think.
But there are stores out on Aurora that claim to sell that kind of hardware.

As for a FUEL pressure gauge, you can easily use an oil pressure temporarily, with
a tee and some high- pressure hose....

Does sound like a fuel issue, fuel pump perhaps. Like said, monitoring pressure would be ideal. Let us know!

after checking fuel. this also can be caused by a dying crank position sensor, flaky AFM or acting up TPS.
              Much wow

Also found out that my fuel tank leaks if I fill it above half tank. Like leaks pretty bad. Would that cause low fuel pressure? Or is the tank not pressurised?

I had a similar issue where I would be driving and the car would just fall on it's face performance wise. It would seem to cut throttle input to maybe 5-10% regardless of throttle position. I went through fuel pump, fuel filter, metered fuel pressure, afm, intake boot, and the ignition wires. Turns out it was a less than ideal wiring job on the 02 sensor causing the car to run rich, since then I've been running with the sensor unplugged until replacing it with my swap.

Hopefully this of some help, if not best of luck.
