What are the BEST M20 long tube headers on the market?

Been looking for a set of headers for my M20B25. Would prefer long tube. Something off the shelf that doesn't break the bank would be cool.

    Does anyone have any recommendations?

There's a set on eBay for $257. I think search "e30 race header". All of them look like shit except those. Good luck.

IE race / Bavauto / Stahl and a few others have very similar designs. IIRC there's some difference between primary sizing between them, and mixed feedback on fitment

yup. seen em' they're the most promising looking of the eBay offerings. flanges look questionable. don't want to spend that kind of coin on something i don't trust.

more than i'd like to spend on stahl headers and bav auto headers aren't listed...unless im missing something. same thing for "IE Race", i only see the stage 2 long tubes that are out of stock.

Thanks for the input guys. Im just gonna cut to the chase and get the IE shortys and keep it simple. LT headers would be sweet but time is an issue there just aren't many quality options available or in my price range.

my plan is to use the shortys merged into 2.5" collector to 2.5" vibrant resonator x2 back to a vibrant 2.5" straight thru muffler. just going to take everything into a shop and have them weld it up. anyone see any issues with my plan?

Some things are worth waiting for. As mentioned you'll see a difference in primary sizing, but you'll also see a number of differences from the mid-points down.

i would wait, shortys are basically nothing but a free flowing manifold

What about Bimmerheads? They have some on their page which iirc are IE, not sure how they go about their stock though.

clean looks and simple install, plus little to no wait. they'll do for now till a nice long tube option appears. like i said, im running out of time so the sooner the better. if something better pops up i'll snag a set.

Supersprint headers are really nice but stupid expensive. Raul let me know ow that alpina headers are among the best you can get. But those are kinda rare. All depends on what you're willing to spend. I just got eBay headers for the daily. I also herd that ie headers are welded in China I could be wrong don't quote me on it but I did hear if from a vary reliable source and I personally have a problem with China parts know my car. Not saying the ie headers are bad herd nothing but good. I'm just a picky ass lol. The only reason I got the eBay headers cause my car has a massive exhaust leak and I needed to fix it fast.

The cheap headers where cheaper than paying 200 to fix the exhaust leak. I'm going to replace the eBay headers with better ones down the road. Just didn't have an extra 600 laying around. I only paid 20 for unused headers

                            I know that sounded contradictory.

Finally got a hold of BimmerHeads (busy guys apparently..) and their long-tube header stock relies on IE having them ready to ship. So, no dice again.

I'm definitely getting a set when they're available, just doesn't seem to be in the cards right now...unless someone has a used set for sale somewhere...........

Just got some IE shortys for cheap. Going to run these until some decent headers become available. Thanks for the input fellas.

And if anyone DOES have some BavAuto/IE LT headers, let me know. ;)
