Whining noise at idle?

    I don't remember. We did it by the book. My dad was helping me with it, will have to ask him later. But if it says to do that in the Bentley manual, then yeah, probably did.

      Perhaps its an timing belt issue with mine too.

      I tried the screwdriver method, and the noise was kind of coming from where the cover for the timing belt is. Could very well be what was mentioned about over tightening the belt.

        If it is this, what would I have to do to make it less tight? I've never touched the belt myself so I don't know what to expect? Is it as easy as just opening up and making it a little loose or do I have to take off the timing belt and set it up all over again?
