    Stock M20 deck height

Ok guys, what is the stock deck height for an M20?

I'm reading 206.2 in some places, 206.7 in others. Still other people are claiming 2.7 block is 206.2 and 2.5 is 206.7

What's the verdict? Who has actually measured the deck height, and what did you find?

That's what I was thinking. M20 B25 8.8:1 pistons, stock crank and stock 135 rods sit at 206.7, 0.5mm over deck height according to your measurements. Sounds like people have been confusing the piston height with the deck height.

So 206.2 it is. Anyone measure a stock block differently?

you should always measure the block you plan to use anyway as it may have been machined previously and there may be some variations

Of course. Assumptions bend valves, or worse!
