Does my super eta head need journals? (Pics inside)

I've done tons of research and have a b25 head here too. From what I can tell I may have the rare super eta head with the exact same casting and machines journals as an I-head.

    Couple of pages I've found:

1: looks like my head pictures here has all the holes near the bolt hole locations (seems like all journals are present)
2: my head has a 2.5 stamped in it near the #2 exhaust valve. Sounds like it had to be blank if it didn't have the journals (see link 2 above)

Just wanted to get another opinion!

    Thanks!

Ok, awesome! That's what I was thinking too - just wanted to make sure I was thinking accurately. Appreciate it.

        Agreed-
the presence of all 7 oil holes means all 7 journals are oiled,
and you have to use the 7- journal (i) cam.

achtung - well, the casting could be from an I-head but the guy I bought it from at 212k hadn't done any headwork to that extent - so from all I know the head was original.

I took the cam out last night, and it definitely only has one journal. Also, it is single valve springs - so looks to me to be a supereta head!

1 journal, are you Sure? I see 7 in the pic.... But the single springs is a bit of a give away it's a seta. Might be some cam markings to help with cam ID
