A chip and higher diff ratio are options before you get in to a head and motronic swap. Lots of threads to read on this as its been asked and answered many times

I copied this from a different forum.

          You have a 2.79 to 1 OE.
          I would recommend a 3.25 or 3.42 to 1 for a snap in performance.
You can use an e30-6, e24, e28, or even a Z3 for a donor car.

Changing your diff is one of the easiest routes to go.

And as for the electronic super charger suggestion,

MCM proves that you will get very minimal results.

Don't waste your money if you're going to get a new engine or turbo in the near future.
Just research and do it already.

you should just stick your willy in the fuel tank receptacle and shoot a load of baby batter down the hole. no turbo necessary. automatic 200 hp gain. win-win.

More like 220 if you have good genes. With yours I'd say 180 to the wheels mate.

Scratch what I said about the forza upgrade hub in your last thread that's too expensive. What you do is go on your favorite porn site and watch a couple videos, sooner or later you'll get an ad with pills promising to make you bigger for like 6 bucks or something. Buy $100 dollars worth and open the capsules and empty them into the tank. As we know, bigger engines produce more torque, furthermore with $100 worth of pills you bound to gain at least 20" gain and that converts to roughly .3l and just like that you have a 3.0l m20 "stroker" if ya know what I mean ;D

These are both off topic and belong in the "stroker" thread

This... and use the search tool and/or Google. And learn how to drive the car properly - that's half the battle right there.
