So I did some temp work with a Mercedes/BMW mechanic(more on Mercedes) and this guy offered to check out my car since its currently not holding idle.
Anyho, He Said that reason my car was running rich was because I wasn't using "Bosh Silver Sparkplugs". I already had a brand new still in the box set of the Bosh Platinum Sparkplugs, he then tells me that a bmw can't run on any other sparkplugs in the world other than the Bosh Silver brand. He says they are the only ones that make enough spark and asks me to pay $37 for a brand new set o plugs. He says that he can't diagnose the car unless it has the silver plugs.

.has anyone ever heard of this? I have never run those plugs in 8 years of owning e30s....is this guy just crazy?
