I have a turbo m20 and it has the variable TPS off a m50 it has a adapter plate and is plugged into the stock m20 TPS plug. Would having it plugged into the stock plug work? when I took my car to the dyno he couldn't get it to idle good because the TPS had noise and the idle was hunting. I have the m50 pigtail and I can wire it into the harness but my question is. Is the stock pigtail wired correctly for the m50 TPS? or does it need rewired with the m50 TPS? is there any other reasons why the TPS would have noise?

Wired incorrectly or low battery voltage can cause noise. Is the sensor good? I don't remember if the m50 sensor is plug and play in stock harness you may need to switch a few pins.89 E30 325is Lachs Silber - currently M20B31, M20B33 in the works, stroked to the hilt...

Common practice (at least, with the M5x TPS while running MS) is to switch pin 1&2 at the TPS connector if you encounter noise, IIRC they're BRN/BLK and BRN/ORGOriginally posted by priapismMy girl don't know shit, but she bakes a mean cupcake.Originally posted by shamesonUsually it's best not to know how much money you have into your e30
