What else can I do to get the cam off?

I poured some oil to lubricate the bearings overnight to see if that helps

Screw the cam sprocket bolt back in and ViceGrip it. Tap and turn and see if that gets u anywhere.

Are you trying to pull it out the front or push it out the back?

Cam lobes look fine, I don't think it lost oil pressure. Does the cam turn easily? I'm guessing the head is very warped. If the cam doesn't slide in, out, and turn nicely you probably don't want to use the head. Use an oven like said above, or a torch to grow the head, should come right out.

The cam doesnt turn by hand but it does turn with a wrend with a little resistance

At this point id be throwing head in trash and buying a used one. If head is warped enough it wont let cam come out. Then the head and cam are both useless and your just wasting time.

if it doesnt take too much torque to turn there might be a burr thats getting caught

Yea I agree. I doubt it's warped to the point the cam won't come out. If it spins have someone rotate it slowly while you mallet/wooden dowel from the back. Mine wasn't easy to come out either. Head was fine it was just stuck with about 220k on it. I got mine out by just not giving a fuck anymore and "strategically" using a pvc pipe wedged on one of the lobes and hammered the shit out of it. 2 wacks and it came out. So far I'm 10k on that head still strong.

I took off the plug on the back of the head and used a dowel and a hammer to hit the cam from there. It came loose after a couple of hits. The cam bearings look good but I might have messed up the rear cam bearing on the head when I was taking off the cap on the back

Unless you gouged the hell out of the bearing just smooth it up with some fine wet/dry

I would not use either the head or the cam after these symptoms. At the very least the head is toast and the cam should be carefully checked with a couple V-blocks and a dial indicator for straightness.
