    Head Gasket Questions

I have an ETA with an i head that is leaking very badly externally and my coolant is essentially oil. I'm guessing the kid I bought it from just kept adding oil instead of fixing the gasket. What gasket/set should I order? I'm not sure because I of the hybrid motor. Also I've read victor reins is a shitty brand so what would be considered a quality replacement or oem equivalent? Thanks for any input.

I haven't personally had a problem with victor reins.. Make sure the head isn't cracked too before you do a head gasket and waste all that time.

also make sure its head is not warped, other wise this will be a short lived repair. With that much compression issue and its continued to be driven it likely was badly over heated so dont get your hopes up too far with you head casting

OEM or Goetze. the b25 or b27 gasket are same p/n so no need to worry about hybrid or not

If I had your symptoms, I'd take the head off before I even ordered a gasket for it...

^^^Correct. These heads like to crack. ETA 200 castings less likely than the 885 325i casting, but if the PO was driving it hot, don't be surprised.
