    Quick cam seal question

Hi, installing a new cam seal and had a question. Does it need to bottom out in the bracket? Every car I've ever worked on had seals installed flush to the face of the cover/bracket but on this one there is gap behind the seal of you set it flush.
    Thanks

Flush unless the cam is badly worn where the old seal sat then set the new seal a bit deeper so it's riding on fresh metal.

Yeah it's not that important as long as it's square and not riding on a worn area
