    M20B27 Fuel Injector Options?

    Hello friends,

I am trying to get an M20B27 to start up after 2.5 years of sitting. I suspected clogged injectors so I pulled them all last night and did some testing with them today on the table, giving them 12V and shooting pressurized brake cleaner through them to hopefully clean them out and unclog them. I was able to free up all but two, which were still able to squeeze some fuel through but were obviously clogged.

If I replace two, I'd kind of just like to replace all of them. Unfortunately MEPEH's service isn't available anymore and it seems the M20B27 doesn't accept the alternatives (M50, Mustang, etc.) like the B25 does, but please correct me if I'm wrong. I have a feeling I'm not looking in the right places and would appreciate some guidance. Thank you

Sure they aren't just generic Bosch injectors with ev2 plugs? Got a photo of them?

Pretty sure they are just the standard grey top injector, I just can't really find an alternative to spending over $100 per injector.

You can get the bosch code off them and see what you can find. Good quality injectors are unfortunately expensive to buy.

I have had some rather nasty injectors that i couldn't clean come up perfect with a proper injector clean service. I think its worth taking them somewhere and see if they come good. A decent place will very quickly tell you if they are salvageable or not.

eta injectors are low impedance. Don't just put anything in there "because they fit" or you will have a bad time.

Does the eta have a resistor pack to compensate? or is the Ecu/injector drivers different.

It's the latter which is why you have to change the ecu when you upgrade from motronic 1.0 to 1.3
