    Pretty straight body with no rust for the most part. Happy about that! Paint just needs some buffing and a little love.

                I'm a detail person so I opted for a fully rebuilt stroker over a swap. I wouldn't feel right putting a used engine that's history is relatively unknown into my vehicle without going through it while it's out which makes the swap very pricey too. An engine rebuild done right isn't all that cheap on either engine, so unless you're going to S50/52 swap, I'd say screw it and just rebuild the M20. Add some goodies while you're at it so make it more fun.

                I also like the authenticity factor of the old 12 valve engine. Embrace the retro!

                  Those numbers aren't low enough to make it NOT run well- something else is going on.

                  Some time spent diagnosing may get it back to 'pretty good' again...
