What parts do I need to make a stroker? I've heard stuff for years about putting some super ETA parts with "i" parts and coming up with an oem-parts stroker, but I've never researched it at all.

to stroke a 2.7 you need a bigger crank but thats just a technicality.
i believe double valve springs are one part thats recomended89 E30 325is Lachs Silber - currently M20B31, M20B33 in the works, stroked to the hilt...

you don't need a new cylinder head, the super ETA has the same head casting as the 325i. all you need are dual valve springs, an i cam, and drill the oil journals for the 7 bearing i cam. best replace your rocker arms and eccentrics while you are at it, plus probably new valve guides and a good valve job.

He is simply changing a cam and valve springs, not building a stroker.

Yes, referring to this setup as a stroker is a misnomer but its the same end result as those with 325i's who actually do stroke their motor with an eta crank. I wasn't going to split the hair.
I would think its less labor intensive to slap on a good 885 head than actually have the head drilled for the extra cam journals, etc. The head already has to come off to drill and change cams, just work with a 325i head for less downtime.

In addition, you'd simply need an "i" chip. I'm pretty sure that '88's and up used motronic 1.3, so you should just pick up a 173 "i" chip and call it good.

Josh is right, you need the intake manifold and throttle body as well.
The super eta, as already mentioned, already comes with an "i" head. It simply uses an eta cam with single valve springs. You need to pick up an "i" cam and dual valve springs and have the additional oil journals drilled.
Summary to convert super eta into 2.7liter "i" motor:
-"i" cam and dual valve springs with additional oil journals drilled
-"i" intake manifold and throttle body
-"i" center section (dual pipe after cats) and muffler (the exhaust manifolds are the same)
-"i" 173 ecu and chip
With the switch to the 173 ecu, I'm not sure what goes on with the fuel injectors. I know "i" injectors and "eta" injectors were different. (low impedance vs. high impedance.)
